Ghostrunner is not a game where you just run and jump around dicing dudes up, Ghostrunner is a game where die a lot you learn a lot and you replay sections over and over as you perfect the route needed to pass. The action is fast and hectic but it’s also unforgiving.
They have added a lot of modes since my last review putting in a time-based mechanic and the golden oldie horde mode. It took a lot of patience to understand and get to grips with the sheer speed of it all as it’s on the same speed levels as a Quake or Unreal tournament. You play as a man with a blade who can Parkour and jump all over the level, slow downtime, and generally fuck people up. Either way, this is one of the most visceral in-your-face experiences I have played in a while. Ghostrunner is easily described as deadly Parkour or ninja simulator. Air dodges- can slow down time and move to avoid bullets yet home in on the enemy.Wall running, sliding, ramp sliding for speed.Repetition and learning are the keys as you learn the rhythm of the level from who to kill first to what walls to run.Three ways to play – assist mode, classic, and hardcore, these act like difficulties.Controller-10 schemes, invert axis and sensitivity sliders, and rumble.Graphics- Brightness, gore effect slider, and field of view slider.It tells the story of a world that has already ended and its inhabitants who fight to survive.
For our Ghostrunner Review, we return to a game that offers a unique single-player experience: fast-paced, violent combat, and an original setting that blends science fiction with post-apocalyptic themes.
